The new Multi-Window mode for Galaxy Note II supports Samsung-made own apps, a wide range of Google apps including Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Google Titles, Chrome browser and the official Twitter app (no idea about other popular apps). The same split-screen mode is supported for only Samsung apps on the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. This split screen multitasking is a must have feature and it is one of the benefits of the Galaxy Note II. The update also brings a new baseband version and Google chrome.
