The same split-screen mode is supported for only Samsung apps on the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. This split screen multitasking is a must have feature and it is one of the benefits of the Galaxy Note II. The update also brings a new baseband version and Google chrome.


Galaxy Note II is having certainly big enough space on its 5.5-inch HD screen for such an amazing feature, and you’d love to have it on your phone and you will be excited about the Note II than ever before. You should be seeing the notification alerts on your phone asking you to accept the new update. You can try to check for the update by hitting up Menu > Settings > About phone > System Updates –> if you found the update –> follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrade process

Download Jelly Bean 4.1.1 based XXALIJ Firmware For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105, Finally it’s here! For all the Galaxy Note 2 N7105 users, Samsung has officially released the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXALIJ firmware. This can be downloaded to your Note 2 through Samsung Kies or manually for which we will be mentioning the steps in later part of the article. This update has been released after a lot of tests so it is bug free with lots of fixes.

Before installing the update keep in mind:

• This is an official release so installing this will remove the root of the device if it is rooted earlier.
• A proper backup of the device data should be made
• USB Debugging should be enabled. (To enable USB debugging, go to “Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging”).
• ODIN will be used to install this update so it should be preinstalled in the PC.

Steps to install XXALIJ firmware in Galaxy Note 2 N7105:

• Download the firmware and extract it. Start ODIN on the computer.
• Switch off the phone and restart it in download mode and connect it to the computer. (Turn off the device and enter into download mode by pressing volume down button and Home button and turn on the phone.)
• As soon as the device gets connected to the computer the ID:COM box in ODIN will turn yellow and it will display the COM port serial number.
• Now we need to flash the files into the device. Input the file with “CODE”  name in the “PDA” box. Input “MODEM” file in the “Phone” box. Input “CSC” file in the “CSC” box. Finally input “.pit” file in the “PIT” box. Ignore if any such file doesn’t exist.
• Do check that in ODIN the AutoReboot and F.Reset Time check boxes are checked. Check the Repartition box if a .pit file has been selected.
• Click on Start to start the update and wait for the phone to restart after the completion of the installation

Those with Transformer Pad Infinity TF700Ts should be able to grab the update now by heading into Settings > System Firmware Update > Check Update. Users, who own the unlocked pad Infinities with the ASUS bootloader unlock tool, won’t be notified to install this update. They’ve to wait till Asus provided the full ROM on its website.

Download WordPress 3.2 iOS For iPhone/iPad, WordPress 3.2 is now out for iOS platforms delivering one of the most requested features for a while now – support for featured images. Blog authors can now upload a Featured Image for their posts as long as their theme supports it.

Developer Automattic is happy to deliver the first of many updates in a faster sequence, as promised. The first such release arrives today with featured image support, “one of our most requested features for some time,” according to the WordPress.org blog.

 “We’re happy to report that you can now upload a Featured Image for your blog posts as long as your theme supports it,” says the developer. “You’ll find the Featured Image uploader in the Settings section of the Post Editor—see the screenshot on the right.”

Bloggers can upload a Featured Image of any size. The application will use the Image Size preference by default – located in the Settings section within the app.

Another cool addition is Push Notifications. Available only to blog owners for now (authors to receive this in the next version of Jetpack), the Push Notifications feature is available for self-hosted blogs running Jetpack 1.8.2 or higher.

Automattic explains that, “To make it work, we had to have a central server to deliver the notifications to your device, so this feature requires the Jetpack plugin by Automattic to function.”

“Push notifications for self-hosted blogs will work just like how they currently work for WordPress.com-hosted blogs: you get push notifications for new comments only, and will be directed to the comment within the app if you choose to view the notification,” the developer explains.

To make the Settings pane more accessible, Automattic has moved all the preferences to a dedicated screen within the app itself. This means you no longer need to navigate to the iOS Settings panel to tweak stuff.

Finally, almost 70 bugs and crashes have been fixed (including tweaks to Stats), according to the changelog.
